Feedback automations are trigger-action based rules that help you automate feedback qualification and routing in Harvestr.

To create Feedback automations, you need:

Feedback automations
Feedback automations act directly on new or existing feedback to help product teams qualify feedback and route it to the right people.
Harvestr supports two types of feedback automations: AI automations and Rule-based automations. You can create multiple automations of each type. All enabled automations run in parallel and are evaluated independently.
AI automations
AI automations use custom AI prompts to automatically analyze feedback and apply the following actions when conditions are met:
Assign label
Assign a teammate
How to set up an AI automation
1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Automations.
2. Click Add automation.
3. Select Feedback is created.
4. Select "Matches smart rule" as the trigger type.
5. Write your AI prompt describing the condition to evaluate.
How do prompts work
All new feedback is checked against your AI prompt.
If the condition is met, the automation is triggered.
Prompts run on the feedback title, content, and linked customer.
Prompt examples
"This feedback is about our Slack integration."
"This feedback talks about our competitor Tesla."
"This feedback expresses a potential churn risk from the customer."
"This feedback is about dashboards, reporting, analytics, charts, metrics, or data visualization features."
6. Define the action to apply when the prompt evaluates to true, such as assigning a label or assigning feedback to a teammate.
7. Save to enable the automation.
Labels and assignees set by AI automation rules can be used in Custom Inboxes to route incoming feedback to the right person or team.
Rule-based feedback automations
Rule-based automations let you trigger actions on feedback based on existing labels.
They are useful when your logic is explicit and relies on labels that are already applied, either manually or via AI automations.
How to set up a rule-based feedback automation
Go to Settings → Integrations → Automations.
Click Add automation.
Choose between Feedback is created or Feedback is updated.
Select one of the label conditions:
Contains every label of: the automation runs only if the feedback includes all selected labels.
Contains some label of: the automation runs if the feedback contains at least one of the selected labels.
Choose the labels to evaluate.
Define the action to apply when the condition is met: assign a label or assign a teammate.
Save to enable the automation.
