Centralizing all your customer feedback only helps if you can find the right piece at the right moment.
Doing product discovery means looking for feedback on a specific topic, from a specific customer, or within a specific time frame. That's what the advanced search is for.
Opening the search
In your inbox, click the search icon at the top of the sidebar.
Quick search
Use the Search feedback input to search on content alone.
By default this covers everything, whatever folder it sits in. Use the filters below to narrow that down.
Filters
Search on more precise criteria:
In — which folder(s) to search
From — feedback from a specific user
Company — feedback from a particular company
Assignee — feedback assigned to a specific teammate
Via — feedback submitted by a specific person
Title — keywords in the title
Content — keywords in the content
Sources — where it came from (email, Zendesk, Intercom, Slack, and so on)
Feedback — whether it's been linked to a Discovery, or still needs categorizing
Suggestions — feedback carrying AI suggestions
Labels — with specific labels (Contains / Does not contain), with labels matching a keyword (Includes), or with none at all (Empty)
Date — received within a time frame
How filters combine
Filters combine with AND logic, except Content and Labels, which can also be combined with OR.
So "Content includes export OR download" is possible, but "from Acme OR from Globex" is not — run those as two searches.
Turn a search into a Custom Inbox
If you run the same search regularly, save it. Add your filters, then click Save as new custom inbox at the bottom.
Give it a name and it's permanently available from your sidebar.
More on this in Route incoming feedback to the right person with Custom Inboxes.
