Centralizing all your customer feedback in one place is only helpful if you find the correct information at the right time.

When you do Product Discovery, you must find feedback about a specific topic, customer, or time frame.

All this can be done in Harvestr thanks to our advanced feedback search.

How to search and filter feedback messages

In your Inbox, you can open the search bar by clicking on the search icon located at the top of the sidebar.

Quick search

Use the "Search feedback" input for a quick search based only on feedback content.

By default, all your feedback messages will be included in the search and its results, regardless of whether they are in your Inbox, Archived, or Bin folders. With the advanced search, you can specify the folder you'd like to search in.

Search Filters

Use filters to search for feedback based on more advanced criteria:

  • "In" -> specify which folder(s) you want to search in (Inbox, Archived, Bin)

  • "From" ->search for feedback from a specific user

  • "Company" -> search for feedback from a particular company

  • "Assignee" -> search for feedback that was assigned to a specific teammate

  • "Via" -> search feedback submitted by a specific person

  • "Title" -> search messages with specific keywords in their titles

  • "Content" -> search messages with specific keywords in their content

  • "Sources" -> search messages that came from a specific source (mail, Zendesk, Intercom, Slack, etc.)

  • "Feedback" -> search for feedback messages that have been linked to a discovery or that still need to be categorized

  • "Suggestions" -> search for feedback messages that contain AI-powered suggestions

  • "Labels" -> search for feedback with specific labels ("Contains" / "Does not contain") or with labels that contain specific keywords ("Includes") or without a label ("Empty")

  • "Date" -> search messages received within a specific time frame

Filters Logic

You can combine filtering criteria to be even more specific in your queries.

Each filter is added with an "AND" logic, except for Content and Labels filters, which can also be added with an "OR" logic.

Turn a search into a Custom Inbox

If you want to save a search's results for quick access when needed, you can turn them into a Custom Inbox that will always be available from the sidebar.

Add your filters and click "Save as new custom inbox" at the bottom to do that.

You can then give your custom inbox a name and save it.

If you would like more information about Custom Inboxes, you can see our dedicated article.
