There are two ways to segment customers in Harvestr:
User and company segments: they only exist within Harvestr, they cannot be synchronized from your CRM, and they exist as default discovery filters
User and company attributes: they can be synchronized from your CRM, and they can only be used to filter discoveries by creating Customer Attributes Aggregation fields
This article is about user and company segments.
What is a segment?
In Harvestr, segments allow you to group users and companies by specific criteria, such as customer tiers and geographies.
You can create both user segments and company segments.
Users and companies can belong to as many segments as you like.
Creating and assigning segments
Importing segments in bulk
Thanks to our multi-object import, you can import and assign segments in bulk to customers.
Creating segments from the customer section
You can create segments manually from the customer section.
Creating segment from a customer profile
You can also create a segment when editing a user or company profile.
Assigning segments to users and companies
Using our import features, you can assign segments to users and companies in bulk by doing the job in the import file.
You can also assign segments in bulk by selecting users and companies from the customer section and then clicking the Add segment action button.
You can also assign a segment from a user or company profile.
Leveraging segments to prioritize Discoveries
Once users and companies are assigned to segments, you can filter Discoveries that contain feedback from specific customer segments.
When you add user or company segments to your Discovery filters, we'll also display the amount of feedback from the segment(s) in the feedback column.
This lets you prioritize Discoveries based on the feedback from customer segments that matter the most to you.
We'll also display the number of customers from each segment linked to it inside each Discovery via their feedback.
