Your personal settings live in Settings > My account. They apply to you only, across every organization you belong to: your profile, how you sign in, and which notifications reach you.
Profile
The Profile card sets how you appear to your teammates:
Upload picture: your avatar, 1 MB maximum
Display name: the name shown on your comments, assignments and activity
Email address: read-only, with a copy button
Sign-in and access
The Sign-in and access card covers how you authenticate:
Change password: enter your current password, then the new one twice, and click Save.
Personal access token: authenticates you against the Harvestr API and some integrations, such as the Chrome extension and the Salesforce widget. Click Generate to create one, then copy it. Treat it like a password: click Revoke if it leaks.
If your organization uses Google, Microsoft or SAML single sign-on, see Enable SSO for your workspace.
Where notifications reach you
Harvestr notifies you in two places:
In Harvestr: click the bell in the left sidebar. A dot shows when you have unread notifications. The All notifications and Mentioned tabs group them by day; click one to open the discovery, feedback or roadmap project it's about, and click Mark all read to clear the list.
By email: a digest of your notifications, at the frequency you choose.
Harvestr doesn't send browser push notifications. Use the in-app notifications and the email digest.
Choose what notifies you
In the Your notifications card, set the Email digest frequency (Never, every 5 minutes, every hour or once a day), then tick the events you want under Notify me about:
Event | You're notified when |
Mentions | Someone @-mentions you in a comment |
Assignments | You are set as assignee on feedback or a discovery |
State changes | A discovery you follow moves to a new state |
New linked feedback | Feedback is added to a discovery you follow |
Discovery changes | A discovery you follow is moved, created or deleted |
Replies to your feedback | Someone comments on feedback you submitted |
Status updates on your feedback | Feedback you submitted arrives, is linked to a discovery, or its discovery changes status |
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
Your preferences can only narrow what your organization sends. The last two events also depend on the feedback loop rules set by your Editors in Settings > Notifications: if an event is off for the whole organization, turning it on here won't bring it back. See Close the loop with feedback loop notifications.
Follow discoveries and components
Most notifications are about what you follow. To follow more, or less:
A discovery: open its actions menu and use Notify me. Choose All (comments, feedback, state changes) or Mentions only.
A component: open its menu in the breadcrumb and click Watch component, or Stop watching.
AI summary language
The AI summary language card sets the language HAI writes summaries in. It applies to the summaries you generate, not to your whole organization: each teammate picks their own. It's saved as soon as you pick a language. English is the default.
