Harvestr feedback templates from Chrome and Slack are evolving from simple placeholders to fully customizable forms.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s changed and how to transition smoothly.

🔍 Key Differences

Custom questions to structure and guide feedback

Guidance

Guidance had to be written directly inside the template text

Each custom field can include its own description

Custom select or multi-select fields

Default fields

Limited configuration

All default fields can be made required or optional

Switching templates (Chrome)

Could switch between any saved templates

Can only switch between the default template or no template

🧩 Migration Behavior

If you were using an old template:

  • It remains available in your Feedback templates list.

  • It will no longer be usable in Chrome or Slack once you set up and save a new template.

  • However, it can still be used to create feedback directly in Harvestr, or via HubSpot and Salesforce, which will be transitioned to the new version later on.

As soon as you set up and save a new template from Chrome or Slack settings:

  • The new template overrides the previous one for those channels.

  • The old one stays in your list for reference and use in other integrations until their migration.

💬 Slack Templates

  • The active template automatically loads when you use the /harvestr command.

  • Once you configure and save a new template in Slack, it will replace the old one.

  • No extra action is required for the switch — your new structure will appear instantly for all users.

🌐 Chrome Templates

  • The active template automatically loads when you open the Chrome extension.

  • You can no longer switch between multiple templates — you either use the template configured in your settings or choose “Do not use template.”

  • As soon as you save a new template from the Chrome settings, it will override the previous one.

  • The old template will remain in your templates list but won’t be usable in Chrome anymore.
