Are you using Microsoft Teams to gather product feedback from teammates?

With our Zapier integration, you can easily send this feedback directly from Microsoft Teams to your Harvestr inbox — so nothing gets lost and your roadmap stays connected to what your users and teammates need most.

How does the integration work?

This integration lets you automatically send messages posted in a specific Microsoft Teams channel to your Harvestr inbox, where you can then:

  • organize the feedback and link it to your discoveries

  • prioritize based on trends and impact

  • close the loop with your teammates

Each message from Microsoft Teams becomes a new feedback item in Harvestr, with message content, subject, and a link back to the original conversation in Teams.

Prerequisites

To set up this integration, you need:

  • Access to your Microsoft Teams workspace and permission to install apps

  • A Harvestr Editor account

  • Access to the team/channel where you want to collect feedback

⚠️ Important: You’ll need to install the Zapier app in Microsoft Teams to be able to use it in your zap.

How to set up the integration

1. Install the Zapier app in Microsoft Teams

To begin, head over to the Apps section in Microsoft Teams and search for Zapier.
Click Add to install it. This step is required to authorize Teams as a trigger in Zapier.

2. Create a new zap in Zapier

Once Zapier is installed in Teams, go to your Zapier dashboard and click Create Zap.

3. Set up the trigger: New Channel Message in Microsoft Teams

  • Choose Microsoft Teams as the trigger app

  • Select the “New Channel Message” trigger

  • Connect your Microsoft Teams account

  • Choose the Team and Channel where feedback is posted

You can choose any channel where your teammates regularly share feedback or product discussions.

4. Set up the action: Create Message in Harvestr

  • Choose Harvestr as the action app

  • Select the “Create Message” action

  • Connect your Harvestr account

Then fill in the fields as follows:

  • Source: Note

  • Requester: yourself (or a default Harvestr user if you're automating on behalf of others)

  • Submitter Name: insert the From User Name

  • Content: insert the Teams Message Content

  • Title: insert the Teams Subject

  • Message URL: insert the Teams Web Url

Processing Microsoft Teams feedback in Harvestr

Every message sent from Teams via Zapier will show up in your Harvestr inbox like any other feedback source.

  • You’ll see the full content of the message

  • A link back to the original message in Teams for full context

  • You can tag, categorize, and link the feedback to Discoveries

  • And easily loop back to the teammate who submitted it (or follow up directly in Teams)

This is a great way to passively collect valuable feedback from product-related conversations happening in your Teams channels — and make sure it directly fuels your product decisions.
